The winds of change are blowing in my life...again.
As of August 25th, I'm leaving the agency world at Fullhouse and have joined Aurora Health Care as the Director of Social Media & Digital Communications. It's a new an exciting opportunity that brings me back to my roots in the non-profit sector.
The last three years
have been an interesting evolution for me as I've been able to
define the true work related passions in my life.
- Serving people
- Serving the community in which I work
- Digital Communications/Social Media
In the last few years of my career, I've never had the chance to have all three present in the same job. I've had to sacrifice one or more and have struggled with that of late. I'm very fortunate to have found a job at Aurora that supports all three of these elements. Aurora is a patient focused Health Care organization that is dedicated to serving the communities in which they operate. They have also realized the need to focus on social media and digital communications as a way to communicate with both internal and external audiences. It's exciting to be a part of an organization that has formalized a position that is responsible for social media and integrating it into the organization as a communications medium.
I'm excited for this new opportunity and will be using this blog to document my own experiences as well as those of Aurora as we look for new ways to use social media/digital to interact with our patients.
Congratulations Jamey. I hope it all works out great for you. Sounds like a wonderful opportunity for you! No doubt you will do everything you can to Make it GREAT!

Phil,
Thanks for the note. I'm very excited to get settled and get rolling. We'll be doing a lot of experimenting with social media in the health care space. It's going to be exciting.

Jamey,
Congrats on the new position. I'm interested to see how you integrate social media into the health care field. And I'd love to stay in touch to get more ideas from you -- I think health care is one of the best, untapped areas for using this kind of communication.

A real dissaster would occur if the climat would not change, its only a natural proces that can not be stopped. -no mather how much tax-payers money you throw at it.
